Setup 2


Location of Perl

This is for Unix servers only.  Usually /usr/bin/perl or similar.


URL of the shop.pl file


The url of the folder in which you have placed the shop.pl file.

For example  http: //www.your-domain.com/cgi-bin/shop.pl

Currency

Select the currency used in the store.

Sales Tax Label

The name of the sales tax. eg "VAT" or "Sales Tax"

Tax Rates

If you do not want to use Sales Tax leave the tax box blank. The format is description, tax rate, description, tax rate
Separate them with a comma eg.

Sales Tax in the EC 17.5% 17.5
Sales Tax outside EC 0% 0
   

Another Example

Sales Tax/Vat
Sales Tax for residents of Texas 7.25% 7.25
Sales Tax for other states 0
   

 

Shipping (Setup 2)

To create a shipping rate, you must first give it a name as in the following example.

new_shipping_rate.jpg (7974 bytes)

Click on New Shipping rate and the new rate will appear in the Shipping and Postage box.

More shipping rates can be created in a similar manner to the above.

This can be relative to the cost of the item or its weight.

(Example 1)

The above would implement shipping for Air Mail - Europe.

All shipping is calculated in your local currency. For this example $ dollars are used.

The rates are:

$10 for items less than $100
$20 for items less than $200
$30 for items less than $200
$40 if the total bill is $300+ dollars or more.

The plus PLUS + character after the $300+ indicates, all values above it.

Example 2

The above would implement shipping for Surface Mail -Europe.

The rates are:

$5 for items less than $100,
$10 for items less than $200
$15 for items less than $200
5% of the total bill for items of $300+ dollars or more.

The plus PLUS + character after the $300+ indicates, all values above it.

 

Postage Rates related to the weight of items

The above would implement shipping for USA - Airmail

The W is used to indicate a unit of weight such as gram, kilogram, ounce or pound.

The rates are:

$15 for items less than 10 units of weight
$25 for items less than 20 units
$35 for items less than 30 units
10% of the total bill for items of 30+ units or more.

The plus PLUS + character after the W30 indicates all values above it.
